Travala, an innovative crypto-native travel booking firm, has integrated with The Open Network (TON), allowing holders of Toncoin (TON) to book airline tickets, hotels, and travel tours with their tokens. This integration adds to Travala's existing support for a range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Ether (ETH), making a total of 127 payment methods available for travel bookings. Travala CEO Juan Otero expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasising the company's commitment to mass cryptocurrency adoption and bringing a new real-world use case to TON. In 2023, the AI-powered travel booking platform Sleap announced a collaboration with the Camino network to create personalised travel bookings and a universal messaging standard for hotels, airlines, and tour guides. Additionally, Japan Airlines launched the Kyoko NFT project, offering unique Japanese travel experiences through NFTs​.
