Content creator (cryptocurrency ) Su Zhu Reflects on 'Enjoyable' Prison Experience in Singapore
Jan 28, 2024
Su Zhu , the co-founder of the failed crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital, was released from a Singapore prison after serving three months for noncooperation with liquidators. In an upcoming podcast interview, Su described his time behind bars as a "really enjoyable experience," emphasising that he had the "best sleep" of his life during his sentence. He also mentioned that everyone should have the opportunity to experience prison life at least once. Su highlighted his ability to catch up on reading, exercise regularly, and have three daily meals with fruit servings between them. Despite sleeping on the floor, he found it comfortable and even described a "magical feeling" after adjusting to prison life. His firm, Three Arrows Capital, collapsed in July 2022 due to defaulting on a substantial loan, and he was initially sentenced to four months in prison but was released early for good behaviour. Su's comments have elicited mixed reactions online, with some viewing them sceptically and others appreciating his perspective.
