Trezor's Security Symphony: 66,000 Users' Details Dance on the Edge in Unseen Breach Drama!

Trezor, the hardware wallet provider, has reported a security breach exposing the contact information of nearly 66,000 users through unauthorised access to a third-party support portal on January 17. Users who have engaged with Trezor's support team since December 2021 may be affected. While the breach has not been confirmed, Trezor has taken the proactive step of notifying potentially impacted users about the risk of their contact details being exposed to potential phishing attacks. The company affirmed that users' funds remain secure, and none have been compromised. Trezor has contacted the 66,000 users to inform them of the incident. Additionally, at least 41 users received direct phishing emails requesting sensitive information about their recovery seeds, and eight users who registered on the third-party vendor's trial discussion platform had their contact details compromised.
