Inference Labs secures $2.3 million in pre-seed funding to advance its Web3 protocol aimed at decentralising AI verification using a Proof-of-Inference mechanism. The funding round, led by Digital Asset Capital Management, Delphi Ventures, and Mechanism Capital, along with support from investors like Big Brain Holdings and BitScale Capital, underscores the growing emphasis on democratising AI technology and ensuring its accessibility and transparency. Inference Labs' innovative approach blends zero-knowledge cryptography and advanced machine learning to enable miners to provide predictions along with ZK proofs, ensuring computational integrity directly on the blockchain. Through its Omron.ai platform, the company also addresses the challenge of optimising staked allocations across Actively Validated Services (AVS) by applying AI to select the most advantageous AVS options based on various risk factors. This strategic integration of AI and blockchain, coupled with the successful funding round, signifies a significant step toward democratising AI technology and fostering a decentralised and equitable AI ecosystem.
