Exploring the Fusion of Art and Technology: The CityX Pop-Up Expo

The CityX Pop-Up Expo, held in New York City, showcased the fusion of art and technology, presenting a unique integration of traditional artworks transformed into enhanced NFTs. Curated by Eugenia Brodsky in partnership with Hyperlab, the ULIVE collection featured 16 artworks, each transformed into NFTs designed to provide an immersive experience for viewers, incorporating sensory elements and unique voiceovers. Despite challenges such as an earthquake, the event proceeded with resilience, highlighting the theme of perseverance through art and technology. Attendees experienced the ULIVE collection through various displays, including digital mapping and an interactive demonstration via the WOWcube Entertainment System, which aimed to make the artworks more tangible and accessible. Panel discussions on the second day explored topics such as art preservation and the potential of NFTs, emphasising the evolving relationship between traditional art forms and modern technology and showcasing a promising future for art conservation and accessibility.
