Captain Tsubasa NFT Soccer Game Kicks Off on Oasys Blockchain, Elevating Fan Experience

The popular Japanese manga and anime series Captain Tsubasa has introduced its nonfungible token (NFT) soccer game on the Oasys blockchain, a platform dedicated to Web3 gaming. Mint Town CEO Hiroshi Kunimitsu emphasised that integrating with the Oasys blockchain provides fans with a fresh way to engage with the beloved storyline, showcasing blockchain's potential to enhance interactive entertainment. The game, developed by Mint Town and Blocksmith, allows players to collect NFTs of characters from the original series, develop their characters, form teams, and engage in various game modes, including a Rival mode revisiting the original storyline and player-versus-player (PvP) matches. To commemorate its launch on Oasys, the Genesis NFTs of the game offer additional features like increasing players' energy points. Captain Tsubasa, originally published in 1981 and adapted into numerous movies and television series, has sold over 90 million copies worldwide as of 2023, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
